Noise on China Net Censorship

Read this article on the Net:

A coalition of Chinese Web activists has launched a petition decrying censorship of the Internet and challenging the legality of government information controls on China’s more than 100 million Net users.

(Not sure where/how far this is going. CYM’ background? Lawyer? Student? Very well read. Idealist? Rights activist?
The discussions are a strange mixture of Eastern and Western thoughts with too many slogans but not enough “systems”–models with variables, etc.)
