A Great Victory in Dallas

Published by Forager at 10:02 am under sports

I was so thrilled by the ‘Skins victory in Dallas on Monday night (9/19) that, for several nights, I went to sleep with the two touchdowns lingering on the border of dreams.

I watched the game live in Beijing (thanks to all the technologies and Deng Xiaoping I suppose). It was another miserable ‘Skins game: offensively impotent and defensively laborious. Like yet another reminder from Reality: Give up, there is no such thing called Miracle.

After a heart ponding 25 yard dash and head first dive, Brunell was somehow able to throw a 39 yarder to the end zone. It was the most improbable catch of the day, since had Roy Williams turned his head or Santana Moss got anyway distracted, the ball would be gone. The 2nd touchdown was as pretty but not as improbable. I walked up to the TV, kissed the Santana Moss on the monitor and subsequently had a great day.
