Google and Yahoo! Different Verbs in China

Yahoo China handed in user data that led to the arrest of a NYT researcher.

Google bowed to protests from Taiwan and removed from its map service the reference of Taiwan being a province of China.

The former led limited outrage from US web users.
The latter: today just happened, the news is only spreading now in China through XinHua.

Google may very well stop being a verb in China.

International business: role in politics, nationalism, geo-political issues, decision making, reaction management, business in rogue or authoritarian state, social cost vs. bottom-line
