Santorini: boat tour
A very very beautiful island. Volcano results. Related to Crete?
Stayed too far away from town center. greedy, bad agent. 52/20! Local’s lament.
Hitched a taxi to Thira. Info center does everything. Nice agent. One of the few fluent in English. Nice hotel rooms. Booked two tours.
Cable car ride down to old port. Beatiful locations/houses, etc. 100% US tourists on the boat.
Beautiful weather. Little wind. No sail. Hotspring. Mountain goats. Miniture church.
Volcano. Dusty trail. Young volcano. From 1600bc to 1950 no stop. 6 eruptions documented.
Liu Huang gas still abandent at the top of the crater.
Beautiful view of thira and ia. black, red rocks, little vegetation, pure white houses like snow cap. crystal clear water.
donkey ride up. a little scary. smelled like a zoo. better than cable car? same price!
bus ride to Ia to see sunset. Thrones of people. Hill top like a chinese beach. Many many people with all kinds of camera. Sunset anticlimatic. still beautiful. golden colored. dancing couple. very romantic.
moon is even better. reflection on the calm sea. hill town in the dust, in the night.
Dinner at the roof top terrace.
