New Yorker Book Review - the Scottish Enlightenment

Read a while back a New Yorker book review (c)

The review and the book is about the Scottish Enlightenment.

I am very interested in the Impericist philosophy, and its contributions to the English liberal conservatism championed by Edmund Burke. If I don’t have to have a job, I’d write a thesis on this topic for a PhD dissertation. I think it is worth it.
