5. Enhance trade position of the origin country
What are the arguments against this rational, why LDCs making such arguments?
1. No consumer money
2. No technology
3. No capital
4. No industry
5. Fear of monoploy (price)
6. Strategic/national security: having to have manufactured in country
7. National sovereignty

1. Going to government
2. International organizations
3. Aliance with other companies
4. International alias
5. Protection model: general strategy
6. Partly (not much) effective, questionable at most
7. Raising awareness (but not necessarily solutions)
What general approach would you provide?
1. Invest in R&D in 3rd world countries—they don’t steal.
2. License (by how much?)
3. Still different pricing (adm. cost to guard against smuggling)
4. Cost/benefit analysis: better sell cheap then being prayed upon (Microsoft model)
